Premium mobile port of the hit rhythm game

O2Jam - Music Game is a paid music video game that lets you play a wide range of tracks and attempt to hit the right notes at the right time. As a rhythm game, this mobile port of the classic title from the O2Jam Company Inc carries over the massive track library from the original game into this version.

O2Jam - Music Game boasts top-tier graphics and smooth animation. Furthermore, it also has the same customization in terms of difficulty levels and track speeds for a varied experience. Other alternatives for this game include Friday Night Funkin’ Mobile and Osu!droid.

Highly customizable music experience

Like most music-rhythm games, O2Jam - Music Game challenges players to stay in the beat by pressing buttons that correspond to a set of notes. In this mobile version, there are five keys across the player screen instead of the original seven, allowing for more touchscreen space and easier gameplay. A welcome addition to this game is the use of customizable game themes, letting you change the look of your UI.

In terms of graphics, it uses high-quality textures that make the game visually immersive. The colors are vivid and every visual element is distinguishable from the other. However, in harder gameplay difficulties, it can get overwhelming because of the sheer volume of beats and the tempo—leaving players seeing nothing but blurs on the screen. These difficulty levels are considered too hard, especially for non-experienced players of the genre.

Also, there is an optimization issue with the app, making it incompatible with other devices. It doesn’t auto-adjust, leaving some phone models with black sections on the edges. Also, aside from being a paid game by default, some track sets require a separate subscription and a corresponding additional fee. There is also no multiplayer option, which robs players of the experience to battle it out with friends.

A challenging single-player game

Granted, O2Jam - Music Game is a different experience from the original PC version, which was free and multiplayer-capable. As a single-player rhythm experience, it does carry some of the better songs from the catalog, with others being tucked behind a separate paywall. It is visually impressive, and the customizable UI is optimized for most touchscreens. If you’re after nostalgia or simply looking for a challenge, it’s still worth the price.

Warning

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
